The CMCS is a young and vibrant center conducting cutting-edge research, and it acts as a hub in regional as well as global research networks. We would like to develop our collaborations with emerging as well as established researchers. If you are working in one of our fields of interest, there may be opportunities of getting involved with one of our projects. If any of the options below sound interesting to you, just get in touch with us!
Guest lectures and webinars
The CMCS regularly invites international academics and experts to give a guest lecture at the CEU or a presentation in one of the courses that CEU faculty teach.
In addition, the CMCS occasionally organises "webinars", which allow interested people to listen to and participate in topical seminars remotely as well.
Take a look at the "Teaching" section to find out more about CMCS's teaching activities, and the "Events" section for a list of recent guest lectures and other events.
Networks of experts
We are developing networks of experts on specific issue areas. If you are an expert in one of our fields of work, please get in touch with us at cmcs@ceu.hu.
Visiting Fellows
We welcome PhD students who work in one of our fields of interest as Visiting Fellows at the CMCS. A Visiting Fellow usually stays at the CMCS for 1 or 2 months, gets a working space and is included in all relevant discussions, events and activities taking place at the center. He or she enjoys the unique experience working at an international research center and receives inspiration for his or her PhD project.
Temporary Research Fellowships
We sometimes offer temporary grants for young researchers who would like to work with us on a specific research project and who help to advance such a project substantially.
